My story

My career has taken me all over California, from Hollywood to San Francisco. My design experiences have run the gamut from television opening motion graphics, to troll dolls packaging, to wifi-router UI, to hamburger machines. The most recognizable piece I have worked on was UI, packaging, and design for the first generation Fitbit.

Currently, I am a key member of Ringling College’s creative team, working on the full gamut of marketing materials for the college including photo art direction, managing brand assets, overseeing the design for our annual magazine, and being an important contributor to the design and usability of our website. As an alumna, my connectedness to the college has made me an invaluable contributor, providing insights and clarity about the Ringling College brand.

My years spent focusing on brand design have given me a rich understanding of what constitutes a great brand. I enriched this understanding with a Masters of Science in Marketing from Florida International University. To me, brands are living, breathing creatures with heart and humanity, and are at the core of every piece of communication.

At my current job, I also mentor and direct students in our in-house studio. I was once a student here myself, and I know first hand how pivotal job experience can be to a student's trajectory after graduation. I am delighted to help young creatives become versed in professionalism, client communication, and project management.

My hobby: making the world a better place.

I am the Florida State Lead for non-profits dedicated to improving conditions for people with ME/CFS.

I am the volunteer Florida State Leader in the world of patient advocacy for ME/CFS. I witnessed atrocities in healthcare and funding when my husband, became disabled by Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (commonly known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or ME/CFS), and I swore to change it. I work to bring volunteers together from all over Florida to fight for improved healthcare conditions. I have helped create and pass a Florida State Resolution for ME/CFS Awareness, as well as a unanimously signed Florida delegation letter to then NIH Director Francis Collins.
